Default Breakdown in The Canyonlands Maze District

so guess which tire steps up to ruin the trip? I always carry two spares when I solo, and a repair kit. He could have booted that and run low pressure, I think.

Yeah, several rules broken there. I typically don't have a solo vehicle, particularly in the Maze. If I am the only rig, I certainly don't go alone. You never know what sort of emergency may require a 2nd person.

One trip to Needles resulted in a torn sidewall on one tire, and then popping a bead on another tire. Fortunately I was able to re-seat the bead with a come-along and a mini air compressor. It was 2 of us in my 4Runner, but we also new worst case scenario was walking a couple miles out where we had another truck with the same size spare.

Wheeled the Maze with 6 other trucks, no problems for anyone though we were ready for just about anything.

did you notice that it's a duratrac that had a sidewall failure? I didn't have any issues with mine, but I do notice that it happens over and over with them...

I got the LT rated Duratracs but fear that happening enough that I'm thinking of switching to KO2's for the next set.

Tire issues aside a pretty good video and photos.
