Right there with you Paul, that overhead storage is great. I'd love to make something like that for my Jeep so I can have gear inside with much more room for Bruce underneath.

How funny, I knew Mark when he bought that jeep 10 years ago. Took him on his first wheeling trip back when I lived in Oklahoma. Haven't seen him in years.

Just out of curiousity and I know all you HAMers will throw eggs at me, but why no love for UHF/VHF race radios? Better than CB, not quite as utilitarian as HAM.

From what I understand, HAM radios are more versatile and offer way more frequencies to transmit and listen on. An Amateur Radio license is between $20 and FREE and it's good for 10 years. Race radios are $70 and for 5 years. The frequency for race radios are right next to other VHF, so the performance would be the same. HAM radios can use repeater networks to transmit and receive all over the place.

I'm basically saying the same thing as this gentleman: Devin says:

We ran the trail in that video a couple weeks ago at night, up to the gate anyway. Nice view of the lights at night. I got some video coming down that trail in the new monster, I'll have to see if I can find it now.....
