?? Scratching Head ?? I-25 Exit 240 is Longmont / CO-119 - a heck of a long way from the trailhead for Moody Hill.

    Am I missing something?

I could join in - but I'll meet here in Fort Collins. How about the McDonalds at Harmony (east-west road that meets I-25 at exit 265) and College / US-287 in Fort Collins. McyD's is the northwest corner of the intersection.

How about 9:30/9:45 at McDonalds @ Harmony & College/US-287? Google Maps says it'll take about 33 minutes from your location to up here.

    Thoughts?

OOH - many thanks for that clarification!! I'm sorry I missed that important tidbit.

In that case, if you have more time (and perhaps more people involved), I'd recommend a meeting spot of JJ's. Gas station / convenience store on the northwest corner of Harmony and Taft Hill Road (two major intersections west of the Harmony & College spot I spoke of). More parking and slightly easier in/out.

    Google Map of JJ's Convenience
    https://www.google.com/maps/place/40...!4d-105.116037

It's perhaps the closest gas & convenience to Moody Hill while still being in cell phone range.

Another good spot - perhaps a bit nicer for folks from the south - and not terribly out of the way for Fort Collins - is the K-Mart in Loveland (NWC of US-34 and Wilson Avenue)

Any thought to add in Crystal Mountain as well?

Crystal & Moody are listed as open.

As stated, you can only run the very beginning of Crystal. Not worth the time or fuel.

With Crystal out, and depending upon the day, (if I go, which I'm heavily leaning to yes), I could see myself heading west on 44H and taking Old Flowers Road (trail) west to east. Anyone wishing to join would be most welcome.

I'm toying with some jeep work this week (which could be my monkey wrench) thought I might hold off until after this weekend.

Loveland meet spot. For us "up nort" folks, dropping down the 8.5 miles / ~11 minutes from a north meeting spot (JJ's) to the Loveland meeting spot isn't enough out of the way.

If you don't wish to drop down that bit, meet at the main intersection in Masonville as we'll be driving through there to get to 44H.

If you want to convoy with the rest it probably be easiest to meet at the Masonville store. Corner of cr38e and cr27. Or just meet at the trailhead.

Ok sounds good, I'll probably just meet you guys at the normal meeting spot if it's that close. Is there parking at the bottom of the trail?

there is a decent sized parking area at the trailhead but it can get crowded at times as it is a pretty popular trail for both 4x4s and atv's/bikes

I'll have one jeep from Loveland joining in. It looks like I'll have one rider from Longmont riding with me.

    Loveland K-Mart meet spot.

A small chance another loveland person might join in as well.
