Default Which trail to run next Saturday?

So a friend just moved here (Conifer area) from Utah and wants to run a trail next Saturday- preferably a slightly scenic one. Up 285 or 70 is fine. I'm pretty familiar with the Moab and Ouray area trails but it has been a while since I ran anything close to home. I actually have not run many near home. I'd like some ideas for a day trip. I can really only think of Twin Cone or Red Cone. We both have Rubicons with 35s and he is more experienced, though I have only been offroading for 3-4 years. If we can turn this into a planned run, it would be good to meet some of you.

I recall that insane downhill pitch off Red Cone. I was on a dirt bike. I have never been so scared in my life.

But this time you'll be on a stable set of four tires - kick'n back holding an umbrella drink it's so easy...

I think I'll just be scared silly, instead of terrified and paralyzed.

Red cone in a newer Rubicon will be a cake walk.
    4low and first,gear all good.

Twin cone is on the south side of 285 at the top of the pass.
You can see red cone from twin cone.

Agular pass in waldorf canyon will be a nice trip this time of year.

After doing red cone this year finally, I wouldn't touch it if there's moisture of any kind and I know snow has been dusting the higher peaks already and our last time up argentine the snow was still just above us at treeline in the early evening, meaning it was there all day.

Others know that trailfar better than me having only ran it once, and granted my tires are crap, but it was dry on the very final decent and I could feel the tires trying to slide.

We live in Georgetown and there's lots of trails around here. Kingston would be a good one, very scenic and not real difficult. That has a trail coming off of it that leads into the yankee hill network which offers trails of all kinds. Pickle gulch network is also reachable from kingston and is a fun area as well.

There's also Bill Moore/mill creek/red elephant out of empire on one side, Bard Creek/democrat hill on the other side of empire. Up HWY 40 from empire just past the Henderson mine is Jones pass, I've not yet run this one.

This groups 2 adopted trails are just outside Idaho springs, Barbour Fork and Devils canyon. Barbour is a fun challenge as you may have seen from the recent pics and video from our fall cleanup run. Devil's Canyon is a really mild but scenic trail, especially s this time of year with all the aspens.

I could go on and on if don't stop myself here........

Wheeler Lake, Chinamans, slaughterhouse gulch, spring Creek, or Hackett gulch. Wheeler Lake is probably the most scenic around and pretty fun with 35s.
