Free firewood

Britton just took down another large tree on our property. It's a pretty big pile of logs. The slash pile should be going out to our slash-pick-up area this weekend at Evergreen High School, but you can see from the crappy picture that there are some pretty significant sized branches that would be great as well (just have to trim off the twigs and needles).

It's free for the taking, but please notify me first because we want to try to limit the amount of wheel traffic across the property. (Using caution to protect our septic system as well as the yard).

dang, Jackie, I'd take the logs if I hadn't sold my trailer last year. :/

let me see if I can borrow a trailer and I'll come get it all.

OK. I think my husband is pretty much "spent" for the week,so I don't see it moving right away. Black Hawk isn't that far from us. I'll talk to him in the morning and see if he would be able to at least get it hauled to the road for pick-up! We still have more trees that need to come down but he needs a break and I can't do it.

All of the slash pile is gone as well a couple more smaller trees that were taken down today. There's just so much previous neglect that we are stuck with...

He has made 7-8 trips to the slash drop points in the past two weeks. (FULL TRAILER LOADS).

wow. yeah, I don't need the slash, I just thought I'd take it off your hands for giving me free firewood.

my neighbor has a trailer that I might be able to use. I just gotta ask him.

That would be awesome! Our trailer is only a 6x8 and my Jeep is only rated to tow 2000 lbs. Since the trailer weighs 800, I think the pile you see pictured might be pushing it a bit. As stated, we have more if you want it. We just have to cut it down.
