Hey, saw this pic on WranglerForum yesterday! Glad you've got it, looks great!
Sorry to hear about the bad luck having to get rid of the forester and buy a jeep. Maybe you'll get lucky and trade it in for a Toyota or something cool someday
I did take it as far as I could up toward Lock Lamond. I'd gone most of that way in my subaru, but it was much easier this time.
I did put it in 4 Low and test that out, no need to test the lockers. It was fun just to see what it can do a little. I need to call up the white river Rangers and see when Transfer Trail and the trails around there open up.
This is no doubt unimpressive, but I was having fun messing around.

Alright, one last update to this thread and I'll find a new place to post on the forum.
I went out to the flat tops this weekend. I called the Rifle ranger station and was told that transfer trail may be harder than normal because of snow drifts on the north faces around Windy Point. Given that I was flying solo with no real clue what I'm doing, I elected to take it easy and go up Coffee Pot and find trails from there.
I tooled around a little on some of the trails above hanging lake and also fished a little in Deep lake, still learning, but I was around for a small midge hatch that the Brookies were raising for.
I did manage to run through Grizzly Cow Camp on the Jeep trail listed on TrailDamage. I was surprised just how easy it was getting through there, I only had one very small scrape on the front diff, but it didn't do any harm at all. I was being very cautious with the water/mud, again because I was alone, but really didn't have any issues.
So... I'm hooked. I'm looking forward to working my way up some of these trails with you all. I will still be cautious, esp until I get some skid plates, but I'm looking forward to seeing what this thing can do. If anyone wants to plan a fishing excursion, I'm in.
