The domain registration belongs to the same guy that is written about in the About Us page. When it was registered he was lives in an apartment building in Riverview FL. He's posted many items for sale on the expeditionportal.com forums back in 2010 using the same phone number and happens to have a username that is his first and last name. At the time the fire sale seemed to be because he enlisted in the army- but he was in the market to buy FJs some time before that.
It is pretty easy (relatively speaking) to set up an online store and drop shipping with a few companies. I still technically own a web development company and used to be more of developer myself, so I've seen this type of site thousands of times and have even owned a few niche drop ship stores back in the day (not worth the trouble for the most part now)
I suspect he is trying to open a real store front or garage, and getting permits in the springs is probably a real pain in the butt - so he's operating out of this apartment and home.
edit: You guys need to be careful posting personal info. I know more about this guy and his life than I should and didn't even have to break out the big guns to dig up the info. Anyone knows him personally should put him in contact with me so I can help him protect himself a little bit.
