slaughter house? 4/16/16

The scout has a dana 44 with power steering! I am looking at running slaughter house Sat the 16th seeing whos interested and whos run it recently.

Hey Brent!! No clue what conditions are, but I know of a group planning on doing a clean-up run on Slaughterhouse that day. A quick peek at the weather shows rain however, still plenty far enough away for the weatherman to change that a dozen times though.......

I'll go down as a weak maybe right now, however I can hook you up with that group if you're set on going and no one else hops on board. Conditions will play a big part in my decision.

I missed that clean-run thread(but I will find it) I'll see what I can do about the rain.

A co-worker ran it last weekend, he said it was dirt on top of a nice layer of slick ice and they had quite the time doing the trail.

No problem. He said they came upon a dude who's trans broke in a section of the trail where no one could get around. They ended up winching him out of there and it was a nightmare due to that ice. He said they had to daisy chain him out in 100' sections. He was planning on a 2 hour trip and it turned into an all day event.

My hope is to get some other rigs, I've done it solo a couple of times but that might not be the best idea if the conditions haven't improved. Its been warm enough that the trail might be better by sat.

weather this weekend should be interesting, but I will like to go. I went up there my first time 2 weekends ago and was slippery.

The weather might play a role in if I go, and my scout is not quite done I hope to pick it up friday.

They are call8by for 12-16" of snow in the foot hills above 7k foot so heavy set snow up there.
You all enjoy that....

a foot of fresh snow, steep rocky hills what could go wrong... At this point it might not be the wisest thing to do seeing as the forecasts have been a little off lately(the blizzard two weeks ago was at first only going to be few inches )
