    Default Geneva Creek - Saturday Sept. 5th



    Alright, Geneva Creek - Saturday Sept. 5th - meet at gas station in Bailey @9, rollout @930. If for any reason you want to join and will be coming from Georgetown, meet at the trailhead. Can adjust meet time and/or location if needed. Never done this trail, so if anyone who has would like to join, would love to have a leader. I'll be on CB 7
    and will PM cell # if anyone would like that as well. Come join a couple new members to the site. I always love getting to put a face to an avatar. Hope to see you there.

    In the yellow bar above you will find the planned trail runs on the calendar. Click on the one for the trail and it will take you to a page you can rsvp. That way everyone knows who is showing up and who to watch for.

    There's always room. As for a CB, I've seen some decent deals pop up on Craigslist once in a while. I personally went with a cheap Cobra from Wal-Mart ($35), but I did splurge a little bit on the antenna, a Wilson "lil wil" magnet mount for $40, but Wal-Mart has a magnet mount for about $15 I think that would be fine for close range. Glad to see your coming along for the trip, should be a good time in our beautiful mountains.

    I got a co-worker to agree to come along. He has a tacoma as well and probably about the same level of skill which is not much. Not sure yet if his wife is going, mine will not (she is not really into this sort of thing). Looking forward to meeting everyone

    Myself and TexanInColorado were talking about maybe trying to get up there to camp Friday night, but the way it's looking so far, I may need Friday night to get my truck back together. Been working on changing out the slave cylinder (concentric, so trans has to come out). Was off today and been on it all day. Got the new slave in, trans stabbed and rear trans support in.     That's awesome Chris, glad to hear it. By Sunday morning he'll be a new member on here
    I gotta get back to workin on my truck. I'll be headed to bed before too long and want to get as far as I can on it each day, so maybe I can go camp up there Friday!!

    LOL, you can get the full story on the link in my signature, tales from the garage and trails. I keep it pretty updated. But yea, still not done and I had all day today to work on it, and I did other than a couple breaks to cool down.

    Personally I'd stay away from the Walmart antenna. A friend got one a month ago and it was awful! Not tuned, terrible range, etc... However you can get a decent Wilson or Cobra on Amazon (38") for $18-27.
