Default XJ/MJ BackBone Bumper System ?'s

This thing looks nifty , as i could chop the crap out of the stock bumper and get some good approach angle .. plus not have to pay the price of a prefab bumper just to get winch and recovery points.. Does any1 have any experience with these guys ?

I don't have experience personally with them but have heard a lot of good stuff about them. I like them on Facebook and they use to be pretty active but just kinda disappeared. I'm pretty sure it's just one guy that does everything so your order may take some time. If anything before you buy look to see how much of the frame it ties into. If it's just the 3 stock bolts in the front that's no go for recovery.

Ouch, seems like a lot of money for just a little plate, albeit 5/16" thick. With the cost of that winch plate you have almost payed for a winch bumper. I would save your money a little longer and get the full bumper. Stock bumper ends up mangled and is really not going to protect the truck if you slide into something. I run the Smitty on my truck, brother runs an Or Fab. Both those installs were simple and straight forward.

Last but certainly not least, locally there in Colorado Springs you have Serious Offroad, he is a member here and offers a discount to other members.

Those are some great links! Thanks! I would like to keep it local or small buissness , as I feel like the big companies get plenty of money and turn out some mediocre stuff sometimes , not always but sometimes . The serious one Looks pretty dope I wonder if I can get a customs one like that except without the pte runner bars and just have the slim winch bumper , approach angle is the main concern and that I never have to buy another one but I'll give him a call and see what's up, if I can just stop by there and shoot some ideas.
