Day 4 SW Co trip report

1/2 day on the Umcompagre Plateau. Interesting area. Massive Apen trees up to 18" in diameter and 50 ft tall growing in the midst of a massive douglas fir forest. Two of us bailed at noon cause we had to head back. Ran Old Monarch Pass on the way back. Its 2wd but I've been kinda wanting to do it for years.

The other two vehicles continued further west on the plateau.

Just got home 8pm. Will start on some pics tomorrow.

Damn, really wish I could have made this run and especially in light of the chatter about closing BB.

I really enjoyed these runs, the company, and the fact the we didn't experience a mechanical problem by anyone for 4 days.
