    Default Newbie on West Magnolia

Well we had our first experience off roading with the 4 runner today. First off let me say a BIG thank you to Paul, And Greg for their help and direction. We had a great time and although it was an easy to moderate trail had a little bit of pucker factor on one short section. All in all a great day, and the search is on for the right vehicle.

Good time today! The trail is still pretty easy, but the 512/ 109 loop is much more difficult than it's been in past years, making it a lot more fun too! There is a particular washed out section of 109 B that was much more challenge than I was expecting today. We all made it through everything without any problems, but it took a lot longer than I was anticipating and by the time we got to the end of 355 we decided to call it a run. I drove around the campsite areas- all of the clear cut areas that were so ugly have filled in with flowers and saplings, it's beautiful. Not much shade yet, but it's regrowing nicely. Every site was taken, mostly by mountain bikers. I didn't get any video today, I realized this morning that someone had stolen the GoPro mounts of my Jeep (about $6.00 of China's finest plastic) so I left my camera bag home and just got some pics.

My family and I had a great time out there-Great to meet wonderful people out on the trail!

Phil navigated that stock 4Runner down a pretty steep washout hill! Paul and Phil, thanks for your patience while my clan had multiple stops to get situated.

Cant wait to head out again and make it a full day.

Here is a short video of the washed out section of 109B. Again we had a great time, and the wife is still talking to me. Wins all around.

Nice video, just from the video that washout has definitely gotten deeper since I was last up it.

I was there with some friends last weekend. I know that exact washed out spot you are talking about!
