Default Viewing Party- Aaron Brucker's Episode of Mud Sweat and Gears

Come join the fun as we watch the episode of Mud Sweat and Gears on BBC America that features Aaron Brucker, owner and operator of Brucker Brothers Ltd. We are gathering at Breaker's Grill on Main St in downtown Longmont, CO.

    Event on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/768275156589405/

Check out the show here: http://www.bbcamerica.com/mud-sweat-gears/

Check out the venue here: http://www.longmontrestaurants.co/

Breaker's will have multiple TV's showing the episode throughout the entire restaurant, but we will be congregating in the bar area. They offer great food and drinks at decent prices, so feel free to come hungry and order dinner. There may even be some specials but can't promise anything at the moment.

Show is on March 9th and starts at 8pm and is an hour long. All are welcome to attend (even the kiddos till 9:30pm).

Aaron and crew will be arriving around 7:30pm and plan to stay for a while after the show. So please stop by and introduce yourselves and say hello.

Please feel free to invite anyone that will enjoy the show. The more, the merrier!

    Looking forward to seeing everyone!

That's a shame. If something changes and you are able to make it, we'd love to have ya. No RSVP needed (though I would appreciate a heads up if able for planning reasons) just show up!

Bummer. Still need to try one of those cookies....

But being as it is on a Monday night, I expect this to be the case with a bunch of people. I really don't expect that big of a turn out.

Aaron, was thinking maybe you should post this on the calendar as a run to help keep track of who is showing up. Would like to be there but a Monday evening way up there is tough, will have to see when it gets a little closer.

It'd be great if you all made it! But I totally understand those that can't.

As far as posting this as a run, I figured since it wasn't really 4x4 related, it could stay in General. I really don't need a head count of any sort. I told the owner of the bar that there would be somewhere between 50-100 people showing up, and his response was, the more the merrier. I do have a running tally going though between all the different forums and FB and personal invites, and it looks like so far there is about 30-40 people as definite yeses. I am kinda shocked the number is that high already. But am also expecting a lot of things to change between now and then. Watching someone make a fool of themselves on international TV is fun and all, but probably not of the highest of priorities for most. I just hope that those who come out will be entertained a little, and be able to have a good laugh with everyone else at my expense.

Just completed a small order for some more shirts, hats, and stickers to give away at the party! Limited quantity! Look for them to be given out during the show!

I'm totally bummed about it, but I won't be able to make it due to having out of town work that day. I'll definitely try and see it at some point though.

Dang. But we all know work is WAY more important than a silly TV show.

You get that new to you lathe up and running yet?

Yeah...you definitely chose the bussiest possible day I've had in the last month. I've had a request from 3 different companies to work that day. If it was just a day of work I'd maybe consider blowing it off, but they are sending me up to Vail for a week to work the American Airlines Charity fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis, so I don't feel too horrible missing the viewing party :P.

Lathe got delivered a couple weeks ago and I've been finding whatever scrap pieces I have laying around to try it out. The only tool I have is a "Diamond Tool" style holder that holds a small High Speed Steel bar. It does allright, but I need to expand my tooling. I bought some inserts from a dude who had a whole bunch for sale, but still need to get the holders for them so let me know if you have a spare CNMG holder you want to sell or something (or any tooling for that matter).

Have fun and I'm definitely bummed I can't make it. Let me know if you want to go hit Penrose after all this snow melts and it dries up a bit.
