    Default Metal Fabrication

    Hey Guys,
A fellow VehiCross fanatic from Turkey had a custom fab bumper done on his rig that I really like. I was wondering for those of you that do/offer this kind of work what something like this would cost to get done here? Here is a link to the FB photos:

I can also hot link the photos here but I'm not sure if that is frowned upon.

    Cheers,
    Scott

That's a pretty sweet bumper. Due to the way it's shaped/contoured to the body, I'd guess it's gonna be expensive to have a shop fab it for you.

Mucho dinero. I'm not into that kind of work, but my bumper guy charged me like $1300 for my plate bumper.

Oh man, that one is some work there. That would be pricy. If you wanted to go with sharper angles it would be a different story, but with those kinds of curves and gradual angles that's a lot of work!

I agree to a point. Figuring out the correct radius needed for each section would be the tough part. As long as one had the big enough plate roller. Honestly would probably take about the same time as sharper angles once all was said and done. Might save a couple hours but not much.

If you wanted a ballpark quote from me, I would range it at 40-60 hours of labor plus materials and coating of your choice.

    Hope that this helps.

Allow me to rephrase. Given the equipment I have available to me, that would be a lot of freaking work.

Well, thanks for the responses. I figured it would be cost prohibitive, but man it is a nice piece of work eh? I'd probably be better served re-purposing a used Toyota ARB or the like.
