Yankee Hill

I decided to check out the accessibility of Yankee via St. Mary's side. We have had some pretty good winds that made some big drifts, and cleared some sections of trail(normal this time of year). I only drove up and over 175 to 271 and back home. I am sure we will have fun doing the spurs, and the North side of Yankee toward Apex should be challenging to say the least. I am down with a run of Yankee this Sat. Will post in the planning section.
On to the pics...Ok.. the pics loaded backward, so the first ones are the last ones I took coming back home.

With a snow run, if you have em bring em. Need to get me some, they make a huge difference on ice.

I am bringing my chains, all my vehicles have chains I was actually thinking about fabbing a set that can be custom made for whatever tire size, just a bunch of quick links on sections of chain for both vert and horizontal. Yes, there is ice under some of the sections of snow, especially with this Indian summer/winter we are having. Looks like a nice turn out, see you all in the morning. My cell # is on the rescue list fyi.
