you got to stop web wheeling and get out a real world wheel it first.
What do you like about the bds kit that you don't have now.
Yes you missed an sye.
Most the stuff you want to do or add to your ride you can build yourself with a little investment.
For $600 over a Murdock farm supply you can pick up a Hobart handler 140 welder.
this b.a. little thing will weld what ever you want.....
then itshe just a mater of time and materials for bumpers and Frame comectors.
What parts are you worried about having to warranty? Seems silly and more expensive to buy a kit to replace the good parts you all ready have for a warranty so if those parts go bad they will be free.
Again for the money you will spend on a crappy bds kit you could have a long arm upgrade from serious off road.
So again why replace a crappy lift with a crappy lift when you can upgrade to a long arm for less?
dam dude you get a kickback or something for pushing his stuff??? i have not heard anything bad about bds and i know a few guys that broke pieces and got free replacements ....and they were jumping over cars.... yes if the parts are good no need to replace with the same thing........ but the aggression is strong .against them on a side note how hard are long arm kits to put in ? i have not done one but i do know they have to be accurate or it throws everything off
Same as a short arm kit. If things are not right it throws all the alignment off.
I the new mounts are not spot on the alignment will be way off!
Messrs twice cut once applies here for sure.
Did my LA in a weekend. Cross member bolted into stock one's place and had the mounts on it for control arms. There were several more holes in the frame to be drilled out but positioning had some give in mounting brackets. But the LA kit did not come with springs. If you have concerns about the springs failing you, I would replace those. Amazon has the best prices on those. Coils come as pair, need 2 for leafs, but they come with bushings. Remember you are trying maintain it and drive it to give time to determine what to do with it.

So I guess ill put this out there. My budget 5k(For now). What I would like to have done by april. Are axles, gears(Keep in mind am going to 35s),bumpers,sliders,winch,CB Radio - Lift will come off after the rest in put in. Like everyone said I should wheel on the set up I have now(Also right now the jeep doesn't fit my personality. I know for some people that doesn't mean much but to me it does. I like the beefy look of vehicles and big tires. Just who I am lol.)
Honestly....there are enough Cherokee's out there that have all that done to them that you can just go buy already all done. Sell yours, take that plus the $5k budget you have and buy a decent rig that already has the hardwork and money spent on it. Its just not worth it to build that rig like you are talking when there are killer deals on Cherokee's out there.
If you do decide to go down the path of building rather the just getting a rig that is already done, I'd also caution against "polishing a turd" with the axles that are in your rig right now (assuming its the Dana 30/35). Go buy a cheap Dana 44 and modify that instead.
If you don't have the basic tools needed for fabbing and mechanics work, there are plenty of good shops that will get it done right and expediently too. One of them has posted up in here already. I understand your desire to have a burly looking rig, and that is your prerogative and I'm not gonna look down on ya. I just think there are easier and cheaper ways to do it then just buying a pile of parts and trying to figure it out on the go. I've learned this from experience over the last 5+ years of doing this sport. Its easy to dream big, but its harder to make it happen in reality then you imagine. Rule of threes definitely counts i.e. its gonna take at least 3 times as long and cost 3 times as much as you guess.
Lastly, during my time building my Toyota Crawler over the last few years, I bought a cheapo($1300) stock 1st Gen 4runner and threw some leftover parts at it, added a few other ones I wanted, and did some cheap mods like lincoln locking the rear end. I found out that with a few basic modifications, you can really don 90% of the trails with not a whole lot of "build" done on to it. I've spent less then 3 grand on that thing, and while the rear springs are worn out so its a bit rough of a ride, it pretty much gets through whatever I throw at it. I have a few more parts to toss at it, and some 33's that I scored a good deal on, but otherwise its gonna stay as it is since it doesn't really need anything else. I guess this is my way of saying that it might be time to slow down like everyone is saying, try some harder trails and see if you can't make it, and just do some basic mods and maintenance. Otherwise, go buy a built rig and do the same with it.
