Post shake down run for the scout!

Ok the scout is ready for its first run in Colorado. I want to keep it close and simple so Dakan road by Castle rock either Friday afternoon of the 17th or the following morning(depending on what kind of response I get. Either way we will Meet at the Circle K at 23 E Wolfensberger Road in Castle Rock.
I'm open to any other suggestions but I'm limited on time and after that weekend I'm out of town for three weeks so the weather and road conditions might be very different for a shake down run.

    Thanks
    Brent

I can't make the run but I'd love to see some pics of the Scout!! My first vehicle was a 79 Traveller.

I can do either date. I'll hold off on getting my interior cleaned if it's going to be rainy.

Ok I was looking at trail options and Slaughterhouse Gulch might be more fun and a better option (its only 30 mins from my inlaws house) Its a 3 to 5 trail so the scout should not have any problems. Im leaning toward going Saturday 18th in the morning, any thoughts?

I have had this scout sense 1993 and its the only scout I have ever owned. It has been a long time sense she was wheeling but having three kids will do that. I can't move on to another rig, because back in college i was sideswiped by a 80's ford LTD in my eagle summit. The guy hit me on my driver-side door doing a minimum 55 mph cut right through my car. For the next year the only thing I could drive was the scout so its a big deal for me to get her back in the dirt.

If you can do slaughterhouse on the 19th (sunday) I'm in. I ran it recently and I believe your Scout would do very well on it. There are some fun spots on that trail and it can be done in just a couple of hours. If I was to do a Saturday run it would have to be at 6 pm or so after I get off work which I'm not opposed to, I've just found vehicles are less likely to break down before noon

Hey everyone just got back into town and I have good news and bad news. The good news is my training has been put off so I will not be gone for three weeks. The bad news is I have to drop a plane off in Jackson hole tomorrow so no break in run for the scout this Friday or Saturday. I might try Sunday but it will be last minute( the nice part is I will be around and able to try again next week)

Was thinking of hitting something on Sunday if your interested. Maybe one of the gulches Hackett, Longwater, or Metberry. Was up there last weekend. might be a good break in trail. Up for anything. Only have Sunday open.
