Default MSV & Coney Flats 9-28-14

Took two total NOOBs out to MSV and Coney Flats. One in a totally stock '14 Toyota Tacoma the other in a '14 JK Sahara with a 2.5" lift and 33s. I was in my stock '07 JKU Rubi.

They both listened well to my spotting and did great. My buddy in the JK is kind of anal about his vehicles and was constantly worried about scratching his flares and wheels. Made for a very long day since he was going so slow.

Not a lot of picts, hopefully my friends will send more that I can post.

He said he just needs to buy the wife a different grocery getter, then it's game on. I am not holding my breath.

The guy in the Toyota was totally the opposite. There was scrapping, grinding, bending, etc. Messed up his running boards/steps pretty good but no body damage. He is hooked, said a lift and bigger tires will bepruchased soon and maybe even another vehicle (Jeep) as he has 4 kids and needs lots of seats.

Exactly, he bent the drivers side pretty bad to the rear of it. I said let me fix that for you and started jumping on it, it bent back almost perfect.

Lol they'll take a good little lickin- but won't protect for crap.

Mine have been bent quite a few times, luckily never any body damage as a result.. I'm waiting for the drivers side step to fall off one day when I'm trying to get in the truck.. lol. That will be my cue to build some sliders

Yes they made it up MSV and then down Coney Flats. The running boards took a pretty good beating and I am sure his skids are well scratched. His has the TRD off-road package.
