Default My lady is very intrigued by water crossings

Looking for a trail with some less than volatile water crossings but many of them. 1996 Bronco, 4" lift, no snorkel. Just want to drive through a number of creeks etc. before winter hits so she can enjoy her water and watch the dogs play in it a bit Also want to make it home if no other rigs are available to go. Must be safe.

I live in Park county and the closer the better but.... all suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance

^^ This. I would add to do Middle St. Vrain out with Coney return. Bit of a drive for you though.

Sevenmile Creek (west of Fort Collins 60 minutes) - more of a drive and water is perhaps marginal (I've yet to be this season though others have written about it)

Jenny Creek. However it too is a drive. Don't know of too many water crossing trails in park county.

MSV/Coney. More large puddles/stream/lake crossings than you can count.

OK, that's not entirely true, but there are dozens.

Webster Pass (north side near Montezuma) has a creek crossing.

Leavenworth Creek, also known as Waldorf/Argentine trails, crosses the creek 3 or 4 times at different depths.

Sounds awesome guys! They are getting added to the list. One of my favorites (but far from here) is outside Pagosa Springs between Pagosa and Wolf Creek pass. Not sure of the name of the trail but when you get to the top it has a sign that says "Elwood Pass" and gives the elevation. I ran it about ten years ago and it had a minimum of 8 creek crossings and part of the trail drove straight up the creek. I could drive you there with a blindfold on but don't remember the name lol. Hoping to make it next year, may even move down there honestly. My house in Bailey has increased so much in value lately it's insane and it doesn't seem like housing costs went up so much down there.

Might be able to walk away with $20k in hand to look for a place and I've owned it for just a little over a year

Thanks for the suggestions. Once the rear end is all sorted out and I have a new clean bill of health I'll see if some of you want to roll up there!

    :headsmack: I should'a had a V-8!

TD has links to sort their database by the trail rating criteria, of which water crossings is one of them...

    http://www.traildamage.com/search.php?s=water

That link is for all of their trails (more than Colorado) with the trails with the most water at the BOTTOM of the page. Start at the bottom, and work up for the Colorado trails!

EDIT: I'm not so confident with the ratings as Miller Rock is the second most water rated trail.

Are there ANY trails within 100 miles of Denver that you would want a snorkel? I haven't been on one.
