Perhaps it's known - Buckhorn Road (between 44H and Masonville) looks to be closed to all traffic.

    http://www.larimer.org/roads/road_closures.cfm

    http://www.larimer.org/maps/road_closures.cfm?rd=1330

The route, from FoCo, would be via Rist Canyon (Google Maps says about 50 minutes)...

Thanks for that Jim! Basecamp had me routed along Buckhorn road and that's the route I would have tried.
Google routed me via Rist Canyon and it was frustrating me... Is it possible that google is that smart?

Yep. If you zoom in, gMaps shows the road stop then start again (in a tight, canyon twisty section). It's the same section that the Larimer map lists (which also utilizes gMaps) as at-issue. Perhaps Larimer County notified Google. Perhaps there's some formal road status process.

I _might_ head out. I'll list my RSVP if I can wake up that early.

Bummer, I'd have to leave by 6:30 to make this. If I'm up too early I'll post.

The only thing I see that's wrong is that I wasn't there!

had a good time and a decent turnout with it being so early. 3 toyotas and 3 jeeps with another cherokee showing up later. we were joined at the quarry by a group of built toyota and then another big group of mainly stockish toyotas. the built group put on a good show with one flop and one broken rockwell axle shaft. i will try to get pics up later
