Just got my light bar installed on the Cruiser. Wow. Makes my regular headlights feel like flickering candles.

    Sorry for the potato pic.

Didn't quite get the angle right, needs to come up about 2 or maybe 3 degrees.

It really is. On the back roads in the mountains with no other light? Incredible.

Very nice. What light bar is it and how did you do the installation?

    This is the light bar:

I just ran it through a relay and wired it into my high beam circuit. So battery power to relay, relay to light, light to body ground. Signal on both sides of the high beam bulb (ground interrupt for high beams on a Toyota). The light is bolted right to the front of the ARB bumper.

Does it come with the wiring harness or is that separate?

It comes with a sealed power and ground lead that made it from the light to just next to my driver headlight. I extended that out for a little more wiggle room with some sealed butt connectors. I will snap a pic later today if I remember. It isnt the cleanest wiring I have done because I consider it a temp job till I get my aux fuse and relay box in.

Don't judge the wiring too harshly, I consider it temp till I get a dedicated fuse relay box set up.

No, not at all - but there is a deadline where it must be done right. Past that deadline we'll jump all over it.

And where did you find enough watery mud to get on top of the battery? (and how fast were you running?!)

Rollins Pass. Went there this Saturday to do Jenny Creek and the two mud puddles were calling my name. I went through with the go fast pedal on the floor a few times. Something about mud puddles turns me into a 10 year old boy.

And when is the deadline? I have been trying to get that relay box for about a month now. And fill the hole under the lights with a winch. And put in a second battery to run the lights and the winch off of. And get my sliders made. And damned if it isn't busy at the shop so I have no time to work on my own stuff. Obnoxious when work gets in the way of fun. Seriously, the winch has been sitting in my shop for almost a month now.

    LOL

Oh, as for deadline - totally subjective. You'll get hit with it out of the blue - or not at all.

    Busy is good!
