Great day. Lots of scenery, and great people. Once I dig through the 1500+ pics the better half took, I will add some.

I agree, terrific day.
I'll do a video tomorrow. For now here's a Google Earth Track attached. We did Santiago and McClellan Mtn.
Jim the weather was much better than our last time there. A few sprinkles and a bit of thunder.

Cheers to all - thanks for tolerating an old jeep. Let me know the next time you want to test out driving a manual 3-speed with 2nd shifter gear splitter, manual steering and manual brakes.
Glad you all wanted to take the alternate McClellan road out - we were thinking we'd just cruise back the up route and would have missed a great section of trail and creek.
Many thanks to Tom for leading the way.
Looking forward to the pics - we are heading to Mt Rainier on Sunday so our camera was packed at home. It will be a few weeks before we get back home and internet access, but we'd love to poach some of the photos.
Finally, did anyone ask about that Bronco that was hanging over the guardrail coming back down the paved road into Georgetown? That looked pretty scary!

The Santiago Mine Complex is for sale. Only 33 million, or 6 million for a joint venture. Collection plate?
Noticed the Bronco. Sheriff had three teenage looking boys sitting on the guard rail. They came so close to death, whoa.

Wow. Missed all of that.
We saw the boys on the guardrail as well - hopefully a lesson learned without deadly consequence, but they were close. The skid marks were obvious - it was straight into the rail. We thought it looked it concerning as we drove past, but then realized how scary and close they came to the cliff when we got to the switchback below and looked backup. It was hanging on by literally a portion of the rear axle.

No. Seriously. She took 1525 pics. She likes the new camera.
Sorry. 1534.
How many sets of batteries? How many GB's?
9 gb's, 75% of a battery. It is a sweet camera. She is waiting on permissions to start posting under her own profile. She is pretty awesome.
All this talk of pictures.. Sure would be nice to see some!

Here are a FEW of the pictures from today's trail run on Argentine Pass. I will hopefully be able to resize more soon.
And Yes I have a picture taking problem.... I won't be posting all 1500 posts. A lot is of scenery.
Had a great time everyone.
