North sand hills 6/27/14

Got away for a weekend with some friends for a camping trip last weekend. We camped at the walden dunes Thursday Friday and took off Saturday to a spot up by rabbit ears to meet up with more buddies and came back home Sunday.

Walden dunes were a lot of fun, but windy. Pulled a couple of UTVs out of a bind here and there, was a fun way to break in my "new" winch. Overall I was super happy with the performance of the truck, was the first long haul with the new running gear and tires. It almost seemed I could not get stuck (I can say that now that I'm home).

I didn't really get many pictures of camping up near rabbit ears but I did find some mud.

Ha, I was just looking at the other run a couple of weeks ago. Jim got stuck in the same spot as the UTV I pulled out. Plus years ago during my first time up there we had a friend roll an atv in that same spot that resulted in a lengthy recovery and a broken collar bone. This time around I told everyone with us to avoid that area due to the extremely soft sand.

Great pics! Im not surprised your truck did well on the dunes, it looks like a great setup for sand all stripped down like that.
