No... The transmission came with the engine adapter plate, the flex plate, torque converter and t-case adapter plate. Apologize for any confusion.

Edit: It also came with the detent cable.

Don't feel bad, head scratching abounds. Did my fair share with a set of sliders for a friends XJ yesterday and today. Rockers are pretty fubar and the pinch seam rolled out and in like the Colorado river! Don't get paid enough to do this stuff. And I still have to finish them tomorrow!

Are you rebuilding the rockers as sliders?

No, installing 1/4" wall structural 2" x 2" directly under the rockers with the same 2" x 2" running back to the unibody stiffeners I welded on his Heep two weeks ago. It's more the "how do I get the damn things to fit tight with the beat up rockers." I didn't realize that the floor dipped down in front of the B pillar as much as it did either, so had to remove one of the three kickers I'd already built and welded to the slider itself, cut it at a bit of an angle so it'd fit under the floor pan and do the one in front of it the same way. .And I'd originally planned to drill the pinch seam about 10 spots on each side, mark the slider tube, drill and tap it for grade 8 1/4" 20 bolts, but the pinch seams aren't in good enough shape for that. And I really think mounting a set of sliders should be done in a "double shear" type of mounting arrangement, for lack of a better term.

Right on. I think I'm tracking. The Rusty's sliders are done in a similar manner. The Rusty's sliders use a sandwich plate at the pinch weld. It's a rock solid design. I think the tubes are 3/16th plate though. I have some good deformation in mine but the tube is still intact. There's no back face deformation or warping.

I could probably weld some D ring tabs to the four corners and lift the Heep with a crane. Still need to add a couple of gussets to them though. Since I ran the kickers up tight to the floor pan I could only weld three sides of the front three on both sides of the rig. The rears on either side are welded to the stiffeners and the front leaf spring mount along the leading edge and back up on the outside corner. We'll find out how well it works, 'cause he assured me he'd test 'em out. On purpose. Just wish the pinch seam hadn't been so fubar. I'da really liked to drill and tap them for some grade 8, 1/4x20 bolts and fasten them to the pinch seam. And I kinda doubt there'll be any deformation of the tube. I think each one weighed about 40 pounds. 1/4 wall structural steel is stupid heavy.

They are, but a pretty Jeep wasn't at the top of the list when he started, wheeling was. He's an 18 year old kid who likes to actually get out and wheel.

Thank you and thanks for your support. I might not be available for the charity event, but we'll see.
