Barbour Forks 11/24/13

Heading up to Idaho Springs to shake down the new mods to the truck. Might do a little shooting as well if the weather cooperates.

I will pick up any trash that I see on the trail (kind of a second clean up before the trail closes), including shells and targets that I bring with me. Pack it in, pack it out...

Just fixed my power steering, ever since the mods I have completed my steering hasnt been very good. I had to replace my pump, it was toast but still under warranty. Now I can turn the wheels with 1 finger, its nice.

I am hoping to get at least 1 other rig to go along to take a pic for a new avatar...

We'll I'm planning on going unless we get access to our normal range, if that happens I'll be shooting instead. I need to put a lot more rounds through my bolt action to break it in and get familiar with it.

Are you just wanting to meet at the trail head or gather up at the McD's just inside Idaho Springs and then convoy to the trail?

I was thinking the trail head since it is pretty easy to find, but if you are not familiar with the traihead I can meet up at McDs...just let me know

I'd appreciate it if we met up at McD's, I've never ran Barbour Forks. Any idea on the snow up there? Will I get to test out my new snow chains? I'll know for sure tomorrow if I'll be making it or not. Just depends on range access if I'm going shooting or wheeling sunday.

Cool, i will be at mcds at 9am. Will prob hang out there for15 min if you can't make it I will head up. There will be snow but I don't know how much, it may prevent us from running the whole loop but there is still some places to mess around if that's the case. I don't have chains so I guess we will find out how the new tires do...
