    Default Red Cone 9-1-13

What a great day. 5 vehicles total, 3 Toyotas and 2 Jeeps
Haku lead the way and I brought up the rear. Trail was a little wet but completely doable.
We went up and over Red Cone and came out on Webster Pass.
No one had any issues, no breakage or damage.
I do think Mitch was waiting to use his Brand New winch!! Sorry No one got stuck- close but the skinny pedal saved the day

Pics to post later. My picture software is giving me fits.

Yep, we definitely had a good time and it was a quick day on the trail. Everyone at home was surprised to see me roll in the door at 2pm since they are used to seeing me show up after dark on wheeling days. Glad you guys made it through what looked like a mega speed trap in Bailey too.

I have a few pictures as well, and will toss them up in a little bit as well.

This took too long, but I finally got my pictures together. Sorry, didn't get any of the top, but there were a bunch taken of the rest of the trail by other people, so I'm sure we'll see those soon.

Yeah...the little white truck had some issues with it, but nothing too bad. He kept spitting rocks out but not moving, but in the end he got through fine. My rig is welded in the rear so that helps a bunch, and I think the rest of us had lockers or big tires.

Maybe I'm just used to it, but it feels like the first big hill coming down Red Cone has gotten a lot less steep. I remember there being more of a hump the first time I ran it.

Yeah....going back to a smaller less built rig has been kind of fun for me. I couldn't help modding it a bit, so it has a welded rear end, dual t-cases, front and rear bumpers and a winch, but the suspension is stock so far and its done most of what I throw at it. I have to take easier lines and pick my way through, but it does pretty well. Kind of hoping someone took some pictures of me doing stuff, but since I was leading I'm not holding up a lot of hope for much more then a few pictures from behind. I did go down from the top of Red Cone to the top of Webster pass further back in the pack though, so I guess we'll see. Here is one of my rig...

I know....I was just saying mine is similar in idea to that truck. Cheap, reliable and capable.

I thought the same thing when Chris and I did it a few weeks ago. Every time you go down it, it gets less steep.
