Our last day in Grand Junction this past weekend was spent on 21 Road. The unique area is constantly changing with every rain. It offers some HUGE boulders and some pretty sick obstacles with plenty of different lines to try. And although it can be one of the nastiest trails this state has to offer, it also has a fairly graded road running along/through the majority of it.
On this day we were again joined by John Haney, who was nice enough to organize this little trip for us, and also by Nate from Battlement Fab. Big thanks goes out to both for their hospitality and showing us such a great time!
It was a fairly laid back day with only a few small stops due to breakage. Nate managed to break a hydraulic steering line. He was able to shorten up the line in order to continue on but had to stop very so often to redo the trail repair. And I ended up breaking a front birfield, a front inner shaft, and a hub, all at the same time. And I also stupidly tried a squeeze line in one section that squeezed my passenger door a little too much. It not only left a large dent, but bent in enough to shatter my rolled down window. Oh well, I guess that is what all those spares are for that are sitting on my shelves. Just should have known better...
As usual I am horrible about obstacle names, so I will just let the photos do the explaining for me.
