Default Adopt a trail clean up run.

First let me give a huge thank you for everyone who came up for this. The trails that bear our name are better because of everyone who participates! We had really great weather for the clean up, partly cloudy and in the 70's. I led the Devils canyon run while Robert B led Barbour fork. The first half mile or so we found several shooting spots, probably hike in locations. Other than that the brass was almost nil. We found a lot of garbage and shotgun shells. The camp areas were almost immaculate. Hopefully this is due to all the clean up runs having a positive impact, may also be due to expense of ammo and the fire restrictions. Who knows but I am not complaining!

anyway, on to the pics I took, I didn't take many but saw plenty of cameras around!

Really could have used that signage today.

    Paul working his magic!

carsonite we propped back up, had to do this with 2 of them. I took pics and marked the GPS to report back to Brant.

Couple pics of Sam! Thanks for the cookies!

And the reason we all do clean up runs:

Awesome day!!!! Was really shocked at how clean the entire trail really was. Most of our garbage was at the parking lot before the Barbour trail head.Had a great time and nice to put a face to the people I chat with on the forum. This is a great thing that most the groups do and hopefully will help to keep our trails open....

It was really surprising how clean things were. But I guess they haven't had much of a chance to mess it up since the fall cleanup. Kaleb led Jim and I up the back way to Barbour via Van Eden Road. Nice steep entrance hill and some low hanging trees for the roof rack to catch. Picked up half a pail full at the first set of campsites and then moved on to the big meadow. There were 5 friendly fillies up there that really thought our buckets were for their food. I took off early to miss the rain since I had my doors off. Got a few pics.

    Entrance hill

    Really tight

This spot's a bit tricky for long trucks

Anyone know what was the total number of vehicles we had for this clean up run? I never did a count, but it seems like there was about a dozen or so.

Awesome day, great to see friends and meet new people! I was on the DC run and it went great, we picked up a lot of junk but nowhere near as much as when I did the DC cleanup two years ago. Like Brad said, the lack of brass was a big change, but there was also a startling rise in the amount of home audio equipment.

I didn't get too many pics, but I did get video:
