I was talking to some friends when that video first went online and we were all VERY skeptical about how well it would work till they showed the Saab running it Daily Driver for LOTS of miles. That is super cool for sure, and it seems to be reliable too.

A Koenigsegg is at the very tippy top of the list of dream cars, and that only increased after that series of videos. I've never seen one in person, but if I suddenly had $500k of disposable income dropped in my lap I would go straight there and put my name on the list for one.

Thought most Koenigsegg lines were $1million+? But yes, sweet cars! I just am really fascinated by the air actuators they use for their valves.

Yeah...looking further the newest ones are definitely that much. The original cars were closer to half a million, but evidently have gone up in price since then. Still, if I was gonna spend that kind of money on a car one of those would be the one.

Those cars have a ton of very innovative things on them, not to mention being one of the best looking cars ever IMHO. I think it will be very interesting to see those valves go into widespread use. Anything that can do what he claims and both lower emissions and increase power and be more economical is pretty crazy and ground breaking.

Interesting technology to say the least!

Six or seven years ago, I was reading an engine-specific forum, one of the members commented that BMW was experimenting with solonoid actuated valves. The possibility of variable valve events makes me giddy!

Wouldn't that eliminate the weak point of an engine to allow for higher RPM tolerances?

They have a 9 different videos about different parts of the 1140 hp car they built. The tranny (only other one I watched so far) has a wet clutch, way cool technology. Just search
