Think the time is coming that I will part ways with one or three of the projects I have had stashed away for a few years. Believe I should start to focus on just a few instead of a bunch. Thinking the '51 Ford F1 should go. It is a basket case that needs pretty much everything. No motor in it but the trans is still there. Have a OLD Colorado title that is signed but was never notarized and the previous owner is long in his grave. Got the paperwork to go through the CO process of getting a title but recently learned of Vermont's easy title process, and was planning on doing that.

Anywho, any one have an idea of value with and without title? I am guessing based on others listed, that without should be in the $1500 range and with in the $2500 range. Would this be close to accurate?

Spent the evening with my nephews. I took over my 3d printer (Ender3) for them as their old, cheapo one caught fire recently. The 2 younger boys (high school age) watched and took in everything their older brother (junior @ Mines) and I were telling and showing them. We had them level out the new to them machine. Had them each warm up the nozzle and bed on their own. And then showed them how to load and run different programs starting with 2 different test runs. Once they both had a hang of operating the new setup, we ran the first real part to be made, a spaceman, that they will use as a pawn for a chess board they are making. Came out VERY well. They are stoked to be able to use a better machine then what they had. Am just happy that they are getting into creating things.

    Here is their first part:

Some home cooked goodness tonight by yours truly.

Bone in pork chop seasoned with a bbq style rub, steak with just salt and pepper, corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes with gravy.

    Mmm mmm GOOD!

Came out well. Pork chops were juicy, steak was a medium, corn was tasty, and the potatoes had just enough garlic in them to notice but not overwhelm. Overall a solid 8/10.

Busy weekend again. But got some things accomplished so won't complain. Plus today turned out to be a good one. Was working on finishing up a project that is getting picked up later this week when my oldest nephew texted looking for some help with his vehicle. He had already bought the parts and started trying to replace them but couldn't figure things out. Told him to bring it over since he was able and that we'd throw it up on the rack and get it sorted out. All he needed to do was replace the serpentine belt and tensioner, which didn't sound difficult at all, but I hadn't actually replaced that setup on a 5.0l Explorer myself before so maybe it was more difficult than I thought.

He brought it over and we got to investigating and it turns out the sold him the wrong tensioner, but the right belt. The different assembly than what he had on the motor threw him for a loop. It took me a second to realize what was going on myself. But we ran to the store and got the correct unit and then swapped them out in a few minutes. He was very grateful for the help and use of the facilities. Made me realize some of the things I take for granted nowadays. Like having a fully tooled up shop at my disposal, and the knowledge and patience to work through problems instead of giving up on them. So I sat down this evening and ordered the needed parts for the F450 that I have been putting off over my frustration with it. It's silly to let things like mechanical objects hold negative space in my head.

So in the end, I think I am more grateful for the change in perspective than he was for the small amount of help provided. Amazing how things work out sometimes. One of the main reasons I like helping people. Besides the great feeling it provides, one can learn something from every experience. So putting yourself out there as often as possible just leads to more personal growth opportunities.

Hope all y'all have an amazing and productive week!

Picked up my new flamethrower this afternoon. This should be entertaining

Once the air quality gets a little better, I will be testing it out. Though with the Pawnee Coal fired power plant burning now as well as the forest fires, decent air quality might be in the distant future....
