The white truck @.18 coming down the hill is either the best snow driver ever or just really lucky.

I've been looking for a set of half doors for my Jeep for a while, apparently they're made from 24k gold or something. These look pretty easy to make. I could trace my full doors for shape and location of hinges / latch and use some flat tube for the top, drill it for upper doors. Some weather stripping would be easy to add...

I stopped through Moab on my way home from California. My day here is telling me we need to hit up Moab in the winter more often. The trails are absolutely dead, and hotels are dirt cheap. A regular hotel I would normally stay at is like $50/night right now, so I decided to splurge and stay at a super swanky hotel, for a whopping $120/night.

On Trent's recommendation we did Onion Creek yesterday. It was absolutely perfect, only took an hour (we were short on time after not getting to town until about 3pm), not too challenging so my wife felt comfortable driving half of it, and with the snow and slimy mud it was a really soft ride, no jounce at all.

Sounds like a good time. Could plan light days with the family and then like a harder day with the fam staying at the bougie hotel/resort at a budget rate!

    Feeling kinda sad !!!!
Feel sad for the American man. Let me give ya a three story’s from tonight....

walked into to my favorite part store (ya, I’m not gonna say) for some parts. Told the guy I need an O2 sensor and fuel filter for a 1990 Ford F100 4.9 strait six. First question (I should have known right from there) “ that’s the truck ?
    Yes, 2 Wheel drive.
    So not the 4x4. No.
Hold on to you hat. It gets better from here.
is it front wheel drive ??????
i almost walked out right there but turned to my inner Smart azz instead.
I didn’t know they made them in front wheel drive, must be European....
Is it an upper O2 or lower O2 ??? theres only one sensor.
it says pre Catt or post Catt. Do you show a part number for the pre Catt.
Oh, it dont show a number... We’ll there ya go....
he goes back and get the part

he taps in his little computer and ask . Is it gas or diesel??? F100 Diesel ???????
its the 4.9 straight Six, gas. I got my parts...
    Wholly ***** !!!

    story #2
while I’m getin my parts a dude walks in with a jump box he got with cash, asks for a refund. Didn’t use it and didnt need it & had a showed his paperwork, got his refund and left. Manager walks out and ask he got a refund, yes. These guys had stolen a pallet full of of junp boxes, they paid for a legit jump box and was running around town getting refund for all the boxes from the same paperwork....

    #3
as I’m pulling out a young dude pulls in, he had a monitor size flat screen mounted between his dash and mirror !!!!!

its been an entertaning night !!!

I've been catching clips and short livestreams here and there. Most recent one is here:

I follow a couple different race teams on Instagram and have been catching their streams as well.

Checking status of the Starlink project...

Up to 40 Starlink satellites, launched earlier this month as part of Elon Musk's efforts to build a high-speed internet network, were lost after a recent geomagnetic storm in space, company officials confirmed Tuesday.

Hmmm - Starlink coverage tracker - interesting

    https://starlink.sx/

Hit the "I" info button top left for a description of icons

Here are Google Maps links to the Elbert Colorado gateway and the Nemaha Nebraska gateway.

The gateway sites look like fiber optic repeater locations (though with no visible satellite antenna).

The chart gets a bit more interesting when you set your home location (cross-hairs icon top right of the screen)

Not gonna lie I want to put those little amber LED rock lights on the underside of the TJ... feel like a bonafide mallcrawler saying that but I see the practicality of them, not for Instagram clout either lol.

Hard Parking at the Mall mostly.

In all seriousness... trail runs at night. More of a gimmick really but they'd be fun to try.
