Worked on the first try. Wow.

I was so mad at it I would have thrown it away if it would have fit in my trash can. I had to hose it off, it was super dusty from being up there so long, after it's dry I'm trying this.

Got out for our first outdoor trip of the year last weekend. 3 days of difficult climbing at Shelf Rd. Wife did not go so not much for photos and videos.

The bears are awake and sharpening their claws in the mountains. Also ran into a Moose, although it's hard to see him at about 5:30 in the last photo. My wife took it over her shoulder while we were quickly walking away.

This young guy was just off my deck a couple of weeks ago. Took off when I opened the door to get a picture so only got him from this angle.

It looks like two of my starter brushes are missing, but they are just worn down that far. 74k on my Jeep and this is the second time I'm rebuilding the starter. I blame watercrossings and desert sand.

    wow - 2x in 74K miles. So it's a 30K maint item it seems...

What was a start acting like before you pulled it this time? No start / weak start?

felt sluggish starting the last two days, battery checked out fine. This morning I was going to take it to Home Depot and I had nothing but a solenoid click. Fortunately last time I did it I bought two kits so I had one in my garage. Took about an hour an a half to r/r, not a big job. Cleaning it is the worst part. I think I'm going to do the Xterra premptively this week.

Not surprising, given that they've already barred kei trucks from registration, which is too bad given that they do have legitimate good uses.

Case in point - Winter Park uses one to haul wagons.

The front end looks similar to a 4th gen Suzuki Jimny.
