There is a hill there that I call "Jahna's Shovel" because one snowy day we were wheeling my old jeep solo there and got the back pass. tire pretty stuck in a rut on the side of the road, with all the snow and ice I just couldn't get out, even locked. I had the highlift and shovel out when a guy showed up in a sweet Montero with BFG 33x10.50s on it, which had just come out in that size, and we were talking tires and vehicles and winch angles, mostly talking but also figuring out the recovery. We talked for awhile, I coudl see his wife getting antsy in the Montero but we were having a good time so...
my wife comes out from behind my Jeep and throws the shovel (sort of) at me and says "try it now" and also said "idiot" plus another word before it under her breath. While we were gabbing she had jacked up the Jeep and filled in around the tire, I drove right out. I still hear about it.
Best Winter Trails??
(Yankee, Cumberland, Chinns/Sherwin, Kingston, etc.). I have only snow wheeled around my neck of the woods, total blast until the inpassable season hits :(, then I break out the atv and snowbash!
