    Default JENNY CREEK

Was a great day with good company. No major mishaps and just a fun trail. The 1st bridge got my attention but really wasnt bad. I believe everyone got out with normal scratches but no body damage. Hopefully it doesnt get closed. All in All the trail looked clean and bypasses dont really look to be an issue. Will post some pics here shortly. Thanks everyone who went, As usual a great time with the group.

    got a few here too...

First obstacle the group in front of us had two yotas with 4wd issues... this one they fixed the hub, the other one wouldn't believe us that he wasn't in 4wd as he tried to go about 5 feet for 10 minutes...

Folks had to kill some time so they came up with alternate entertainment!

the little rig in the group...

Well, MOST of it was great!
These guys had a couple VERY shiney & low suv's they wanted to bring up Jenny... they're very lucky they ran across us to talk them out of it.
Guess skinny dipping was a close 2nd...

And about 1/4 of the way out my rack came loose again... gotta love having 1" of play in your steering... awesome.

Despite the brutal bouncing and rattling for miles to get to and from the trail, it was an excellent day on the trail.

Jim and I both remarked how that first obstacle looks much harder than it used to be. It has really been dug out and eroded over the past three years, exposing more rocks and adding more holes. And there used to be a large rock you had to get around to even get the obstacle. That's gone, and rocks have been moved around in front of the obstacle. I took the easy route, since I was in the 40. I went between a tree on the right and a rock and stump on the left.

I didn't realize how much that spot had changed until I looked at photos from when Bill (Mr6dwg) and I ran it in 2009. The stump on the left used to be a tree (you can see it in the first pic) and you couldn't even go that way because it was too narrow between the trees.

Here're a couple of pics of Bill at the top of the obstacle, coming down (we ran the trail but couldn't get past the snow drift at the Yankee Doodle Lake end, so we turned around and ran it backwards). Where Bill's Jeep is sitting was just flat trail at the time. Now there's a good-size hole there and a few exposed rocks.

The third pic of Kaleb from today shows how much it's changed.

Kaleb, good to see you made it home safe.

I'll let you drive the 40 sometime. Just an inch of play would be great. It has about three ... on a good day.

Hope it's an easy fix. Then go get that Rubi.

Great day wheelin. Was great to meet everyone (and see people we knew) Bummer on the steering Caleb. I agree it's time for a Rubi. Jeeps are money pits, but at least you don't have to replace the steering every trip. My wobbles came back on the way home so I musta worked something loose. We already had to tighten one control arm at the lake. Thanks for all the pics! I really like the ones with my truck setting flat and front suspension flexing. My brother and I backtracked down Jenny Creek a little ways on the way out which is where we were playing on the big rock and kickin dust.

Looks like you all had a good time overall, Thinking I may do this trail in the next two weeks since it has been a few years, as soon as I get the little bugs worked out on my truck.
