    Default Comcast sucks



    So, I lost Internet and phone service today and used my cell phone to call and report it...

    On-hold message says stuff like:

    Comcast: "Did you know you can access your account online at www...."
    Me mumbling to myself: " Hmmm...yeah, except I HAVE NO CONNECTION"!

    Comcast: "To report a problem, please call..."
    Me mumbling to myself: "Tell me you didn't just say that."

    Comcast: "We're sorry, the command you enterered is invalid".
    Me mumbling to myself: "I didn't enter anything, WTF!!!"

    I finally get a lady on the phone that claimed that I might be more technical than her so she couldn't do anything but schedule a tech to come out and it was going to cost me. I politely asked her to transfer me to a technician who might actually be able to help me. (She said she couldn't).

    So I told her to make the appointment but I wasn't going to pay and we exchanged a few words.

    A few minutes later, I had service again.

    Funny how things "work them selves out" some times.

    That's not true. She can send signal to your systems. I used to work in Internet support at Comcast. Funny I have not had their service since.

    I wonder how many "Comcast Sucks" threads we've had? I know there have been a few and I share your sentiments Jackie. Unfortunately IMHO Qwest or whatever they go by now sucks even more.

    I cancelled my TV service don't have cable TV anymore, we don't even miss it and it cut our Comcast bill in half. I sure wish there was competition for phone & internet service instead of the existing monopolies.

    I had a problem like that when I moved down to Littleton. Had to use the celly to call it in. Tech was going to come out, costs money, bla bla bla. Truly amazing what a couple F' bombs and other expletives can get you. No service fee and the tech guy who came out got us a few more channels for a little while.

    For the record, I never dropped the "f bomb", I tried to be polite, but I had to remind her to remind me to re-boot the modem and router on my side (which I already had done to no avail...). I asked her if she sent a signal from her side and she said yes and she saw that I should have service. YES! For the money I am paying, I SHOULD HAVE SERVICE, BUT I DON'T. Can I talk to another tech. please? "No".

    If someone told me "no" I'd spend whatever time was required to get their ass fired. There's no shortage of people looking for a job, even in a place that does minimal training as Comcast does.

    I have had Comcast for years with virtually no outages. When they are out, they have always been back on within minutes and never even had to call. That sucks what happened, been through that frustration when Qwest spent 3 days installing my high speed internet to tell me all they could offer was dial up. Comcast was installed and working next day. I think all the big companies suck about customer service, but with little for alternative options they don't really care.

    If I heard the word, "No" I'd remind them who they work for - me. If I have to explain myself more than twice the F' bomb gets dropped. (a lot)

    I sadly had to give up my Direct TV and go back to Comcast for cost issues, our HOA gives us free basic Comcast so we are save the near 80 bucks a month we were spending on direct TV. The second I can afford Direct TV again I am signing up again they had the best picture, sports, and I only lost signal once over a two year period, and with Comcast I get digital filing probably 10 or more times a day and I have had techs out multiple times and they never fix S%&!. But it is "free" (included in my HOA Fees) so I can only complain so much. The most annoying part is that i had Comcast for years in Washington and two apartments that I lived in here with no issues but the day we moved into this house their service and customer service went to crap.

    Try dropping the f-bomb, that gets results !!

    I always get the " oh I see you are one of our most revered customers" or some junk like that and then have to go through all the crap to get someone. As much money as I've paid them over the years they should be sending me shares in the company.

    I too prefer directv but had to cancel it due to cost. Will be going back when we are both employed again. I only have century link dsl due to the fact I hate Comcast.

    I am a Broadband tech with Centurylink and if I can help anyone with there problems pm me and I can see what I can do to help you. I dont care what people think of us because we are to new in the area to judge and everyone has Qwest on the brain. Believe me that Centurylink is really trying to pick up the pieces and make a good name for themselves. Again, if I can help w/ any issues pm me and if I cant help I know people who can... Thanks

    If you serviced Aurora I would consider giving Centurylink a shot Rick but as far as I'm concerned it's still the company that took 3 weeks to get service. God knows how many calls I made and how many techs they sent until they figured out the PO had 2 phone lines and they had been using the wrong one.
