I had a GREAT time today!! Excellent group, pretty good weather aside from all the rain. Good to see everyone and meet some people. The trail was a little challenging in two spots, but mostly just a good fun trail with some cool things to see. The best stop was at a pair of semi-abandonded storage buildings. One had a ton of core samples (thanks Chris) in boxes, just left there with a bunch of other stuff as the building falls apart. The other one had two large bulldozers in it; I say semi-abandonded because one of the bulldozers had been moved recently. Weird and cool. Big thanks to GlacierPaul for doing such a great job of leading AGAIN!!! Thank you too to Paul for the maps, and to Rob for the other maps. Today was fun!!

Kaleb, nice pic of the 40 with a strap on it. The flex looks good, though. Too bad that much flex kills my traction. What do I need, Chris?

Fun, fun day. Paul did a great job of leading us, and dragging me up that one spot I couldn't quite manage. So much of the forest is dry in Colorado, but that area was fairly damp and very green in most places.

Echoing what's already been said, fun day for sure! Nice seeing old friends and new ones today. I really enjoyed the day, glad I had doors to kep out the rain. I haven't unloaded my pics yet so those will come in a bit.
