Buying a house!
We have an official contract on a house after more than 6 months of waiting on this short sale! It is near Hampden and Kipling. Hoping to close in about 3 1/2 weeks and move ASAP. Our current house in Englewood will then be a rental. Excited as this search has been on/off for 2 years and at least a dozen different offers.

Congrats! We are in the same boat! Made an offer on a house, it got accepted but the buyer isn't in town right now so we are waiting for him to sign.. uhh.. can't wait

We are pretty close right now at Hampden and Broadway. Glad that the new house won't be too far from the rental.

In my experience they are all eager to come out and do that for free. ARS is the first company I had out for mine, they were great and had a DVD recorder hooked up to the camera so you can have a record of it. They had the worst estimate for repair too...

Having your rental unit near-by is a major plus. We rented out our house in FL for 3 years before we sold it. Long distance landlording is no fun. But we were pretty lucky when all was said and done.
