    Default Pulling a tree stump...!

Its as much fun as it sounds!

So far the tree stump is winning. Ive dug around it about 2 feet down, and chopped out roots, and had 3 or 4 different trucks try pulling it out. I had to pull a couple of slats out of the fence to hook up to the tow straps, and so far all Ive done is dig 4 big holes in my front yard. So why am I digging out the stump? I dont know, Im a sucker for punishment. My solution? Dig more and try again. Ive bribed some friends with beer to come over Friday night and help dig!

    Some pics for your amusement.

wrap a chain around it once and attach it to 2 trucks and alternate pulling one way then the other and saw it through

that or you could go get some marshmallows and Hersheys

I like the marshmellow and hershey idea or more strap and pull harder.

Thinking more about it, dig enough to get a sawzall down there with a 12" Milwuakee Demolition blade and start cutting more roots under the stump, that is what I would be doing myself, especially if my Ford could'nt pull it out with a chain.

For a good cold beer, I might show up with another winch to add to the mix. But I must admit the marshmallow and Hersheys sounds pretty good too!

We tried Skinny Fabs winch, it just loaded his suspension, defenitatly needed a heavier vehicle. I do have everything needed for smores, but I was hoping to attract people with shovels!

Or you could leave it - looks like a good guest cottage under there - that thing is huge! We have a biggish truck - I will see if we're home Friday night; one more wench (no winch), a dude, truck, and a pull strap!

My Ford needs to go to the shop(oil is raining down when I start it up :( cannot really afford to send it to the shop just yet either) or I would have offered to come over Adam, I am sure a 1 ton P.U. with a chain should yank that out, have done it before.

We went thru that last year with one from one of those ugly shurbs after hours of digging and cutting roots and an hour with the truck and winch we finally got out, it had 2 huge roots on the bottom we could not get to until we winched it up. Good luck on this one!
