    Default Today at Maxwell Falls.

Took a nice little hike with the better half today. We went to Maxwell Falls. This is a great little hike that you can take the family on. We had a great time and will add in the Cliff Loop next time!

It is and the hike is pleasant and short. It has been a popular climbing spot for the locals for a huge number of years with a lot of bouldering and top rope climbing at the actual rocks towards the top of the trail. There has been a lot of effort in the last number of years by the climbers who frequent the area to clean the place up as it is also popular and short enough for shitbrains to throw trash and beer cans all over....and then you have the bozos who spray paint 'white supremacy' slogans in the caves and overhangs there.. Hopefully someone has removed the spray paint that was there the last time I went in.

Never have figured out why people do that stuff unless it is to remind them of the white trash trailer park setting where they grew up....and should have stayed in...

I taught a few classes for the CMC up there years ago as this is also a good place for people to learn climbing.

While there was still some trash and we did see a spray paint of male anatomy I was actually pretty impressed how clean it was overall.

Between Conifer and Evergreen off of highway 73

From Conifer go to HWY 73. Turn Left on Blue Moon. Follow to S. Brooks Forest Road. Turn Left. Trailhead will be on left side a short way up.

I think round trip is 4 miles from Lower Trailhead.

This is at Maxwell Falls; upclose it didn't look like paint at all, it seemed like something natural except that if looks like an umbrella. I'm not sure if it's some odd fungus that coincidentally looks like an umbrella, or someone is just into umbrellas.
