OMG. Photoshop? That HAS to be photoshopped...??
Looks like it is being winched across. Or maybe just a safety measure in case he goes off the log?

OMG. Photoshop? That HAS to be photoshopped...??
No PhotoShoping. This stuff is typical of the "challenge" stuff that gets run in South America and other fun jungle places. A lot of pictures like that appeared a lot years ago during the heyday of the Camel Trophy stuff in a bunch of different 4x magazines. That is your basic jungle bridge....What we call a hard 4x road is a more or less decent trail over (or down) there...The guys that do this are the hard core of the hard core...
The Camel Trophy stuff was big in the 90's:
And similar events are now being run in the Eastern Bloc:
I liked the Camel Trophy stuff a lot more as it required bridge building, recovery and a lot of different skill sets than you see in the staged and flagged events.
I have seen guys do a crossing like that on only their winch cables, purdy scary stuff!
Did anyone else see that? There in the background, it's me turning around and calling it a day HAHAHAHA
