    Default "Bantha" Build

So I have decided to finally start a build thread. I figure that if I have a list and a few people to keep me moving, I will be able to get some of the work I need to do on this rig completed.
    I have a 1984 FJ60
    "Bantha" with
    223K
SOA 4:88 and 35" BFG Mt
The "hard" stuff is already done.

The list is not quite complete, just off the top of my head while taking a break from studying.

TAKE NEW PICTURES TO POST TO PAGE.

    Knuckle/axle rebuild
    Flush heater core
    Side cover gasket
    Replace fluids
    Front brakes
    Rear brakes
Replace driver's window regulator (anyone have an extra of these laying around)
    Replace emissions spaghetti
    Carb Rebuild
    Rust remediation
    Door panels
    Valve job
Body work/pull dents (or possible just R&R panels)
    Durabak exterior(tan)
    Storage/sleep platform
    Sliders
    Bumpers Front and rear
    Roof rack.

Sounds like a good plan! Oddly enough I think I may have a driver side window regulator, I'll check tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the progress!

Check out what Bruce has been doing to his rig. He is certainly on the right track.

The carb, emissions and valves are going to be the harder things. The rest is pretty straight up stuff.

I look forward to this. As you are going the same route I am, gearing/suspension/tire wise.

Is "Bantha" a reference from Star Wars? Cool if so.

I like the name. Had to look them up. It has been a bit since I saw Star Wars anything...

Well, here is what they look like and here is the link:

    http://www.shavenwookie.com/zoo/tatooine.html

All I remember is that Harrison Ford was in them, a bad dude named Darth, and a Leah thing....Oh...and glowing swords... What the hell, call me lame.

Cool name for a rig..Sure beats what I usually call mine: Heap.

Cool Robbie! I was in the official "Star Wars" fan club, they sent out monthly magazines called "Bantha Tracks", still got em. One of my favorite Yoda quotes, "Do, or do not, there is no try." I also loved where Yoda claimed Luke was "Too old, yes, too old to begin training.", coming from a 700 year old master sorry for the hijack, do you plan on huge bumper horns to help move obstacles?
