Not gonna lie, Stephen's Quarry wheel stand caused considerable pucker.
What a FUN day!!! It was great seeing everyone, and meeting new people (AJ & Meghan, Eric, Josh - Josh I hope the wife and kids're back to 100% soon!!). I was sweating it at the beginning - the first rock step-up obstacle. Good thing I didn't see the *actual* angle that Chris had Cracker at (slid over toward the edge)...but all's well that ends well...Nick did GREAT with those day-old tires. It was super windy, but luckily it wasn't super cold. I can see that not being so much fun up there in January...
Fun fun day.
Thanks for sharing folks, us web-wheelers need to live vicariously. More pics!

I need to go thru my pics, I'll get some up later. It was good seeing everyone and meeting some new members. Thanks everyone who helped with spotting and photos. The quarry was fun. I was really impressed how well Nick's XJ made short work of that slippery obstacle!
We had a great time, the first obstacle was definitely nerve racking!
Here's my not-500-frame-by-frame photos...
Nick - happy???
Chris and Stephen in the quarry.
Chris in the quarry, Eric on top...that wall's no joke!

Great pictures guys! I am really bummed I had to miss this one. My plan was to go but one of my cats was not eating and could not stand so to the vet we went. :(
Awesome pitures looked like a great day.
Kmart meet spot.
First obstacle that gave the short wheel base guys some trouble.

`twas a scenic and enjoyable day!!
Cool pics everyone, thanks for posting them up!
It was really good to get out and see a bunch of new and old faces! Windy, for sure, but a lot less snow than what I expected.
Nice to see both Stephen and Bull hike the Quarry wall. Bull did it so well, it looked like he had run it dozens of times! Really Sweet! Stephen did it on 2 wheels to to show off, I am sure. I like the air showing under both the passenger side tires.
The first obstacle was most definitely a wheelbase one as everyone with a longer wheelbase has no issue. The shorter Jeeps, if they lost the least bit of traction, had problems because there wasn't enough weight on the front wheels. You can see this in the picture of Jim's rig. Josh's Sammi doesn't count as that thing just waltzed right through it like it wasn't there....
One of the things that both LaDawn and I commented on was how sweet the front views of both Stephen's and Bull's Jeeps were. With the stubby bumpers and the high cut front fenders the lines just really flow. The look is real aggressive without being massive (OK, OK....Stephen's looks massive, too, with the 40s..) and, like I said, the lines just flow together. Folks with Jeeps should take a good look at these, especially the tube fenders. Some companies are selling the tube fender/high profile fenders for a song, usually much cheaper than I could ever fab them for.
Someone clue me in here as I haven't been following the Crystal trail problems really closely and it has probably been three years since we were on the trail. All of the access issues are coming from the end of the Crystal Mountain trail where we came out, right? Or is there yet another area where there are access issues?
Lots of fun
