    Default More rocker protection...

Not the best of pictures, but added some more rocker protection. Leaves the stock rubicon rock rail in place, and bolts into the body mounts to provide some added protection. I like the look, and the price was good.

How much and where? I am thinking after a tree got closer than comfortable yesterday on a family run, these would offer more peace of mind than just the rails, which are seeing lots of action btw ColoJeeper, you did the install correct? Simple bolt up?

bought them from Ace Engineering. (www.aceengineeringandfab.com) Think they were about $ 350 including shipping. Installation is extremely simple. You remove the three bolts from the body mounts under your jeep, use a grinder to knock a little bit of material off each side of the big washers on the existing body bolts, then with a helper use the same bolts to attach the bars to the jeep. The bars come with a life time warranty for free replacement if you do any kind of structural damage to them while you are wheeling. Doesn't cover the damage from scraping against rocks, but if you bend it..they replace it.

Have used mine a couple times already and am happy with the look and the performace of the bars so far. No regrets in buying them or putting them on.

I did something very similar (with the expertise provided by Pete Brody). He took my original Rubi sliders and welded some tube steps on. Then added some extra bolt-on brackets to existing holes in the frame for additional support. The whole thing will come off in one peice and it did not affect my lifetime warranty!

Yours look very nice as well!
