make sure you keep to the wall at the tippy part of the one road(i know, helpful!) cause if you dont, this might be a repeat!

its hard to explain. there are a lot of roads up there, and i dont know there numbers. its obvious when you find it though. i was just a touch to close to the edge, since i couldnt see it. and i just started sliding. ive been over it in the other direction 10 times, and did just fine. just did it wrong that time. that was 2 days before that sami was destroyed too. its just one of those spots that to far up is too tippy for a sami, especially when leaning into the cliff side.

just a fair warning! i miss that sami!

Glad to see someone else joined!! If you've run the trail before, maybe you can take the lead?

I claim it as a completed trail...but I've never actually continued very far past the first kiosk at the top of the main trail.Big momma hill is the first right spur near the bottom and can be a chalenge for rigs with open diffs.Last time I was up,at least two jeeps turned around because they couldn't make it!!!

Is the plan to still get some dinner after the run?

    Can't wait!!

I have the page for Left Hand printed off of trail damage that says where all of the roads go by that kiosk. Should be a fun evening!

Big Momma Hill is like 50* or more in some spots, all open diff rigs should bypass. i went up geared and rear locked, and still needed a winch twice. so be warned.

good place to eat is the Dark Horse at I36 and Baseline. its behind the mcdonalds. best burgers in town. or, another good place ive found is right off of 28th, just south of valmont. its a sandwich deli called Jimmy and Drews. clicky

    very good

Download and print this one, too. It's a better reference.

You can also download the MVUM for the Boulder Ranger District and print just that section, if you want triple protection. (From the guy who can get lost even when he has three maps.)

I was trying to figure out if I would make this run or if I was gonna watch UFC fights and drunken wrestle the neighbors, mailman, wife, dog or whatever I do that I regret the next day after drinking and watching guys in tight shorts fight or build a really long sentence on the forum. I haven't really broken in my 5.38s. I tried, but still don't even have 200 miles on them!

Have fun, looking forward to pics. I haven't done enough of this trail yet. Get some pics of the gansta shooters with their pawn shop Glocks cocked sideways too!

I've got nothing against Glocks BTW.

If you take 36 all the way into town it turns into 28th. Go east on arapahoe to get to 30th.
