Good score! The '96 is one of the better years to own.
BTW, I too have some extra parts that would look better sitting around your place.

Great car nick. My 4runner is my first car. U would recommened to get sliders first when you start doing mods. I'm glad I did get my sliders cause I'm using them a lot since I'm at stock height. Have a great time driving your jeep.
Why do you want a Cherokee, exactly.
You got no idea! The cherokee is lookin good! I absolutely love them. If you ever find yourself in aurora and needing parts come stop by at my o'reilly! I'll help ya out
Keep talking s**t...
I do just fine. Breaks were replaced with axles last weekend. I.can lock my 35s up.
Can you say "Hydroboost". Adapt a '95 Chevy Astro van hydroboost assembly to fit in place of the factory vacuum booster, and walla, ouch that's the windshield. Need to add that to the build threads. Sorry, Pete. Cody, Matt, lets start doing some checking on that.
Seatbelts are a good thing. He drove my jeep when I was in the middle of working on it (obviously was going to high country) and breaks were not bled. It required a lot to stop it. That was this ONE time
Still doesn't explain why you want an XJ.
XJs are cheaper to pick up, cheaper to fix up, a lot more aftermarket support and they're small enough to fit tight spots. I also like the boxy look
Cheaper, ok. Aftermarket suppport, yes. 1 zillion made, yes. That's what makes yours so kool. Simple junkyard upgrades can really make them outperform the XJ, though.
Well my jeep has really nothing stock anymore. Just body. Its 2 years of planning and 4 months of work lol this green one is my 2nd one

Thanks for the make and model tidbit there. This is what I was planning on for Frank (Chris' 74 CJ)the next time I dug into the brakes on it. Of course, things like working calipers would go a long way towards stopping it. Would kind of go hand in hand with the new pads....
We really need to get together one of these weekends and chat. The '95 points straight out, not down like the '96 an ups. Power steering pump off of any '80's diesel Chevy, trans cooler off a '88 to '91 Chevy and you're in business. Bring Frank and Chris and we'll figure it out.
Passed emissions with FLYING colors today - the emissions person even pointed out how low the numbers were. Nick's Cherokee was right after an older Grand Am was on the spinners...with coolant spurting out from under the passenger side of the hood...the tech sitting in the car SAW it, and kept going...by the time he was done, it was still spurting and smoking. Unreal. I can't believe the owner of the car didn't jerk the guy out by the throat....but I digress. Luckily the Cherokee's pass was completely uneventful. Went from emissions to tags...so now Nick's Cherokee is completely legal! Woot! I was sweating it there for a bit...a $1 vehicle with no issues getting tags? Inconceivable!
Frank has a 360 with PS and a PS cooler from a Ford something I grabbed in the junkyard. Calipers are toast, but no big deal as the front axle is a Dane 30 from a Scrambler. XJ calipers should fit fine. Rear is a Ford 9" with drums and the e brake cable stuff missing. PO never hooked it up, so scavenging something from a Ford whatever will work for the e brake. Just your basic time/money thing...
Good to hear that the rig passed with no problems!
Doesn't surprise me that it passed. With the crew you have working on it, won't be to long until yer up 4" or so and beating the crud out of it.
...just gotta graduate from "permit" to License", When does that happen?

Might not if he doesn't stop sparking off with what he thinks is humor....especially all the cracks about older people....One of them may be the death of him...
