Nice first ride! Buy a mig welder off craigslist and fab up your ownparts. It will pay for itself 10 times over.

    Sweet, Nick!

What has a touch of the ugly? The Jeep or Nick?.....Oh...sorry Nick.....saw most people were talking about your Jeep!

Good rig for you. Just about every junkyard around has a tone of these so finding replacement parts...or after market parts in a yard is not a big deal. My rig before the Yota was a 1991 Cherokee. Minor lift, Ford 150 coils, cheapo junkyard lift, basically, and some other stuff, and it did really nice off road. You also have the benefit of the U Pull about 10 minutes from your house. Worth it to just grab Chris..or Heather...and just wander around the yard to see what you can find. What other people have mentioned is that the parts for those are the same for a really wide range of years.

Happy to answer any questions if I can.

Well we (Scrat and I) changed the oil, fixed the battery connections, and vacuumed / cleaned the inside. It now starts and runs!

Except the serpentine/timing belt is scary cracked. Like, I'm wondering if it'll handle the high RPMs at the emissions testing center...we were going to get emissions/tags in the next couple days, then change the belt at my dad's on Saturday.

Congrats and nice ride! I remember my first venture out in my first car after turning 16. There is no feeling quite like freedom.

X2. Even if it was a '68 Ford Cortina that ran only if I yelled at it with a British accent.

From today. Chris came home early and they worked on the Jeep.
    First parts run:

Much better. Cleaner inside, cleaner outside, stupid frayed and shattered step things removed:

    The total amount recovered:

Chris wasn't kidding. He found more. Net cash profit on purchase of the Jeep: 62 cents.

Nick's ready for wheelin'. Soon, son. Soon.
