Looks like you guys had a great day! Here's my question...
We were not always going for the easy line. Trying to make the trip more interesting.
Yes, but not as fun! He actually picked that line, and got it on the third try! Did great!
Yes! I was actually asking that question for my own good. I would want the easy line if I were to run it, and I wasn't sure if it would be a good decision... I certainly didn't mean to suggest that you took a bad line.
Great stuff, guys! One of these days I'm going to do that entire trail. Joe, say hi to Lori for me.
Looked like great fun. Awesome pictures.
Nice pics. Looks like a fun trail
I would want the easy line if I were to run it
You run the same trail enough times....or simply want to try a harder line, then you do the harder line. There are a lot of options of Spring Creek, but you were right. The easier line is to the left of the driver.
Thanks for all the photos! Looks like a great time. I can't believe that you had the trail to yourselves!
I was in the mood for a little bit more of a challenge yesterday. There were definitely lots of lines to choose from!
Good pics guys glad to hear you all had fun and not a lot of damages.
Beefy's got lockers, he can go wherever he wants :superhero:
Great report guys, thanks for the pictures. I sure am sorry I didn't make it =(
There's always next time though I guess
Jeff, let me know how your steering situation goes, I have a ZJ steering (V8) which is as strong as they come on the jeep. Lots of ppl upgrade to it when they get a chance. It's just laying around doing me no good.
that could work real nice for ya Jeff! i was envisioning a hydro steering skid mount idea for yours last night that would protect the steering from rock jams like yesterday.
something like this, but without the ram. and the whole width of the axle to protect the steering. could easily get away with a .120 wall 1" or 1.5" hrew. and that is only $2-3 a foot.
ill look for it when i get the chance. i dont want anything for it
The ZJ V8 tie rod is a definite step in the right direction, but it's still a y link. Check out Ridgerunners XJ to WJ knuckle swap on this forum and Mike Rollins XJ to WJ big brake and steering upgrade on 4X4 Wire. Here's that link. http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/brakes/xj_wjbrakes03/ Also check out Johns WJ drag link and tei rod upgrade on Mallcrawlin. Here's that link. http://www.mallcrawlin.com/forum/showthread.php I'm gonna do that with the wife's S-10 Blazer when I SAS the dang thing.
I like the Mike Rollins XJ setup!!
The second link doesn't work.
