Little late in posting this one up. My girlfriend and I headed down to Buena Vista Sunday night and went up Mt. Antero Monday. After waking up and realizing that the stuff hitting my tent was snow and not rain. We packed up and hit the Gunsmoke for breakfast. I had forgotten just how big their plates are! After we topped off the tank and headed up. The weather cleared up and was beautiful after about an hour when the sun finally came out. Once we got on the trail we didn't see much snow until about 11,000'. Where they had a serious avalanche mid May that covered the trail up until this past week. Now it was small enough to cross. We made our way up to tree line. And no further. Right before the switchbacks there was still a good amount of snow left. So we turned around and headed back down. I would guess another 2 weeks and it will be clear all the way to the top, as long as the weather stays warm.
