Found a place to store spare bolts. Inside the engine bay there is a ton of unused bolt holes. Hit some spare bolts with hammered copper Rustoleum and filled them up.

    Nice and looking good!

Thanks for mentioning the spare bolts storage stuff again. I have suggested that a few times as a convenient 'cheap trick' for carry extra bolts. There are also usually a lot of unused holes in the frame for larger bolts.

To go along with that, you can easily store extra hose clamps of various sizes by simply doubling up the clamps that you have on all of you existing hoses.

Got the rear heat bypassed. All of the heater hoses and the heater itself have been removed. It is nice to have some extra storage under the passenger seat.

Just needed a 3/8" brass plug and some 5/8" heater hose to finish it up.

Well I haven't done much of anything to the rig since the snow started flying. I have been taking her through the car wash when I get gas to keep the rust at bay. I'll get a wash if the weather is especially bad. It's amazing how fast rust starts on a dirty old truck. I have also learned which paints hold up against rust. The stuff I used on my sliders sucked, already rusted. My bumper which is Rustoleum hammered black is holding up great. Rustoleum appliance epoxy also works great.

Looking forward to getting my commuter car so I can have the Cruiser down for repairs. Last summer I spent far too many weekends wrenching when I should have been in the mountains. It will be nice to be able to perform repairs at my leisure instead of a mad weekend rush.

I'm also sure Bjorn will appreciate the rest of not being a DD. Just went over 250K last week.

Goerge from Valley Hybrids made them. $60 for the pair I think. You can find him on IH8MUD. He is Orangefj45 over there I think.
