    Default My new project

This past weekend I picked up a 62 Chevy Nova II with factory A/C, 194 ci inline 6, Th350. They guy said it was parked for a couple of years and was not sure if the motor would even turn over, well it does. After some rigged up wiring and fuel it did run with no smoke.....

    Drool!

What direction are you going to take with it? Factory restore or hot rod?

Time to get some 'paint to match' cement blocks...You have a lot of project cars....

Now to find the 454 blown big block to stick in that Nova, a Mark William's 9" rear and a Camaro front clip...Hell, it's only money.....

I'm leaning more toward the street/rod look.....

Personally I only have the 2 projects..... the K5 and now this Nova. I sold the 99 Lumina back to my old boss as he needed it for a contract that he just got, hence me getting this to play with. I love how easy the older cars are to fix and play with, not to mention parts are cheap.

Nice swamp cooler in that thing!

I remember when these were THE BIG THING for cars. A real, honest to god AC in an automobile. I had a couple of cars with stuff like this in it and my family had some early 60 vintage cars with them. Heck, I owned a 62 Falcon with a 6 and the same looking dash panel, shifter, etc., Ford version.

Matt's right, though. Still looks like a damn swamp cooler. Technology is probably not too much better, either. The AC unit to a collector is probably worth more than you paid for the car....

    That looks really sweet!

Be sure to hit them with some clear coat so they stay looking that way for awhile!
